Reading James and the Giant Peach. She read the first 50 pages in one evening.

Despite the lack of snow, Rhys has had a very fun winter. She was totally overexcited at Christmas, and came up to Mom and Dad's room at 4:30 a.m. (!! and was sent back to bed) but ended up having a great time. One of her favorite presents is the art set her Grandmom Betty gave her. As you can see, she's a very good painter and practices all the time.

Rhys is also doing very well at school, particularly in literacy. She also loves going to museums--the Museum of Science is her favorite, but the Harvard Museum of Natural History is good, also. Gymnastics, ballet and piano are also all going well, and Rhys enjoys looking at things through her microscope. Her pet snake, Lucy, has shed her skin once and seems to be quite happy and even-tempered.

Rhys read the sign that said "Do not stand in footprint." "I can sit, right?" she asked.
