It was a great year to follow the Red Sox and to go see the Paw Sox. We saw Jacoby Ellsbury play before he came up and helped the Red Sox win the World Series.

This was a very, very busy year for Rhys. She was a flower girl in her Aunt's weddling, she finished off first grade and won the Student of the Year Award for her class at the British School of Boston. Then her poem about Dedham won a prize at our local bookstore, The Blue Bunny. She had another successful dance recital and a great summer, during which she did Hale Day Camp again and went on a trip to Florida, where she got to see her Uncle Scott and Aunt Kim, go to Disney and Sea World and then for a week at Sanibel.

Then it was the start of second grade (made exciting by a car breakdown) and many new accomplishments there. Lucy the snake continues to do well and grow bigger and bigger, as does Rhys' brother Mitchell, whose website LionRoaring.com, has his pictures. This fall Rhys got to go to her first real concert (violin, cello and piano) and now wants to learn violin. She still does dance and gymnastics, and her new favorite hobby is reading (and she got to meet Susan Cooper, the author of The Dark is Rising). Rhys is looking forward to a great Christmas and a Happy New Year for everyone.
