I will try to get a copy of the textbook put on 2-hr reserve in the library. Also, try Powell's on-line used books, or Amazon.com for more ways to get books--sometimes for less than our bookstore sells them! I also give lots and lots of handouts in this class, as additional reading materials. Your classmates are likely to do this too, when they prepare their own class discussions. |
You are also expected to subscribe to the class listserv (primatebeh) and to check your email account at least once a day for postings relevant to this class. Class announcements, questions, and news articles appropriate for this course will be posted to the list. Any news articles posted to the list can and will be used in quizzes. You may also use this list to ask questions, form study groups, or post your own primate behavior comments and observations. |
To subscribe to the list, click here. Leave the subject heading of your message blank. In the body of the message, type: subscribe primatebeh Then send the message. You should get a message back from the listserv (a listserv is a computer, by the way) that you must reply to in order to be subscribed. Follow the instructions in the message from the listserv, and you should have no trouble getting onto the list! |

Materials that You Will Need for This Course
As you can see, in this course you will be acquiring a lot of paper! To facilitate its keeping in a neat and organized manner, you may wish to purchase a large (3-4 inch) three-ring binder in which to keep it all. Alternatively, a file box with hanging file folders (one for each class meeting) may be a handy way in which to store readings, notes, quizzes, and discussion questions. |
